The Government has just published a list of 80 countries whose citizens have been granted e-visa and a list of 37 international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visas.

Resolution 79 of the Government on list of countries where citizens are granted e-visa; List of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa, effective from July 1, 2020
On May 25, 2020, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed to release Resolution 79 of the Government on list of countries where citizens are granted e-visa; List of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa, effective from July 1, 2020.
In Resolution 79, the Government confirms list of countries where citizens are granted e-visa under Clause 10, Article 1 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Immigration, Transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam on November 25, 2019 for 80 countries, including:
- Austria
- Poland
- Belgium
- Portugal
- United Arab Emirates
- Germany
- Chile
- Canada and
- Czech Republic
- India
- Cuba
- Denmark
- South Korea
- United States
- Greece
- Russian Federation
- Italy
- United Kingdom of Great Britain
- Northern
- Ireland
- Mexico
Also, the Government publish the list of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa as prescribed in Clause 10, Article 1 of Law on Immigration, Transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam on November 25, 2019.
Accordingly, there are 37 international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa, including 8 airway border gates, 16 road border gates and 13 sea border gates.
Specifically, 8 airway border gates allow foreigners to enter and exit via e-visa, including international airports including
- Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi City)
- Tan Son Nhat Airport(Ho Chi Minh City)
- Cam Ranh Airport (Nha Trang)
- Da Nang Airport (Da Nang)
- Cat Bi Airport (Hai Phong City)
- Can Tho Airport (Can Tho)
- Phu Quoc Airport (Kien Giang)
- Phu Bai Airport (Quy Nhon City)
Sixteen international road border gates namely
- Tay Trang (Dien Bien)
- Mong Cai (Quang Ninh)
- Huu Nghi (Lang Son)
- Lao Cai (Lao Cai)
- Na Meo (Thanh Hoa)
- Nam Can (Nghe An)
- Cau Treo (Ha Tinh)
- Cha Lo (Quang Binh
- La Lay, Lao Bao (Quang Tri)
- Bo Y (Kon Tum)
- Moc Bai and Xa Mat (Tay Ninh)

Thirteen sea border gates allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa, including:
- Hon Gai, Cam Pha (Quang Ninh)
- Hai Phong (Hai Phong)
- Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa)
- Vung Ang (Ha Tinh)
- Chan May (Thua Thien Hue)
- Da Nang (Da Nang)
- Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa)
- Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh)
- Dung Quat (Quang Ngai)
- Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau)
- Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Minh City)
- Duong Dong (Kien Giang).
Clause 10, Article 1 of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of Law on Immigration, Transit and residence of foreigners in Vietnam on November 25, 2019 clearly stipulates that issuance of e-visa for citizens of the countries meeting the conditions specified in Clause 1, Article 13 of this Law; The Government decides the list of countries where citizens are granted with e-visa; list of international border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visa.
According to Vietnam Immigration Portal Gate, Vietnamese visa is a document issued by a Vietnamese competent authority that allows foreigners to enter Vietnam. E-visa is a type of visa issued by Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) for foreigners through electronic transaction system. Vietnam e-visa is single entry and valid for not exceeding 30 days.
